UAS Class Poster

This week we were able to come together and collaborate with our other classmates to create a poster showcasing our capstone course work and research. This poster is a great representation of our class and allows us to show the world what we do. We decided to go with the theme of Why Unmanned Aerial Systems? This is not only a question for prospective students but for professionals in many industries. Unmanned Aerial Systems are innovating many industries globally.

My research group and I were able to show some of our findings and give an overview of how Unmanned Aerial Systems are being used in search and rescue operations. Our section shows how, with the software we are using, drones can effectively locate a target or a person. I personally was able to help the class with creating the introduction as well as writing out the descriptions for each section. I provided search and rescue images as well as a map which was created to display volumetric calculations.

The poster our class has created is pictured below.
